Jan 31, 2012 I do not know how to install VST plugins in Ableton on my Macbook. For example, I downloaded a demo version of Sylenth and do not know how to install it. Can someone please help me out, because I will be purchasing full verisons shortly. This is the official Sylenth1 v3.0 release, and includes Pro Tools AAX versions for macOS and Windows! Also, this release comes with two stunning new skins by Mikael Eidenberg, a special soundbank created by well-known producers (see item below) and many new presets!

How to install Sylenth1

After downloading Sylenth1, double-click the 'Sylenth1Win.zip' file to open it. Then double-click the 'Sylenth1Win.exe' file to start the installer.
When the Setup Wizard launches, click 'Next', 'I accept the agreement' followed by another 'Next'. Now you'll be asked to select the components to install. Sylenth1 is available as both 32 and 64-bit VST2 plug-in. Select only the 64-bit version if you're using a 64-bit host program. Select only the 32-bit version if you're using a 32-bit host. Then click 'Next'.
On the next page choose the folders where the plug-ins and data should be installed. The data folder should be installed in a location where you have permissions to read and write (so NOT in the Program Files folder!). Your home Documents folder is usually a good choice.
For the plug-in folder, choose the folder where your VST plug-ins are located. Make sure to use different folders for 32 and 64bit plug-ins. Remember which folder you choose, because you'll be needing it later on! On Windows 64-bit, you should always install 64-bit applications in the 64-bit 'Program Files' folder and 32-bit applications in the 32-bit 'Program Files (x86)' folder.
Now click 'Next', 'Next', 'Install' and 'Finish' to complete the installation.

  16. Thanks, it works. But in Logic Pro X I’ve got something what sounds like bit rating issue. A sound is cracking a little bit when I use the plugin. When I turn it off everything is fine. Does anyone had similar problem? Thx for answer.

  27. Need help! I followed the instructions and Ableton shows the Plug-In in “Audio Units” (but not in “VST” or “VST 3”). When I try to open it by double clicking nothing happens and Ableton doesn’t respond anymore. Vst plugins for ableton live 9. I’m on Mac, OS Catalina.

  29. Running Catalina 10.15.2. Plug-in shows up in Ableton 10 AU menu, but it just freezes up.
