With Youtube & Dailymotion uploads, Cross DJ generates a video file that displays in real time which track is playing, the name of the artist and the artwork associated with. For Mixcloud, when you export your mix, Cross DJ automatically publishes a smart tracklist. And with SoundCloud (good luck in keeping your mix up there thanks to their well-documented copyright policy) you export your mix, and Cross DJ writes tracks names as a comments above the waveform.
Aside from all of this, the update also has the ability to video mix GIFs and BMPs, new EQs and FX, and an updated list of supported controllers.
With all the new updates leading up to this latest iteration, Cross DJ is becoming more and more of a heavyweight contender in the DJ software arena. The inclusion of video mixing and DVS flexibility (you can use “any sound card” according to Mixvibes, although you’ll still need to use their own proprietary timecode CDs/vinyl) plus ever-expanding controller options give Cross DJ a full feature set comparable to Traktor and Serato DJ.
